Tony is a senior advisor at CBM, chairman of our not-for-profit committee, and principal in charge of both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(6) organization clients. He has more than 30 years of experience serving a variety of clients, with special emphasis on not-for-profit organizations and local governments. Tony is a nationally recognized discussion leader for various accounting courses for CPA firms and state CPA organizations. These teaching assignments keep him abreast of new developments in the accounting profession as well as in business. He is a frequent speaker to various technical and public groups across the country on a variety of accounting and tax topics. Tony also conducts peer reviews of CPA firms and teaches peer review courses offered by the American Institute of CPAs. As a former member of the AICPA’s SEC Practice Section’s Peer Review Committee, Tony reviewed reports prepared by other CPAs to ensure their conformity with peer review standards. Tony’s broad business experience and training has earned him recognition as a registered investment advisor by the National Association of Securities Dealers, and he is a licensed insurance agent for life and health insurance in the State of Maryland. Tony is treasurer of the Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped and is president of the Catholic Business Network of Montgomery County. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs, and the Maryland Association of CPAs. He also has memberships in the American Society of Association Executives, Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations and is a Certified Government Financial Manager. |
