Jim is a executive vice president at CBM and is a member of the firm’s executive committee. He has more than 35 years of experience in the areas of accounting, tax and business consulting, specializing in a wide range of services for the automotive industry.

As director of our automotive services group, Jim also oversees all CBM services for automobile, heavy-duty truck, motorcycle and RV dealers served by the firm. Jim’s dealer experience includes valuations, mergers and acquisitions, operational consulting, tax planning, governmental compliance, succession and estate planning, and buy-sell agreements. He also provides other related services for dealers and their management, re-insurance companies, rental and leasing companies, finance companies, advertising associations, real estate firms and direct marketing agencies.

Jim currently serves as a consultant to the business management committee of the Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association (WANADA) and serves as the association’s accountant and auditor. Under Jim’s direction, CBM also provides accounting and auditing services for the Maryland Automobile Dealers Association (MADA).

Jim was a founding member and president of the CPA Auto Dealer Consultants Association (CADCA), a select group of CPA firms serving 2,000+ dealerships nationwide. Jim also serves as chairman of the National Alliance of Auto Dealer Advisors (NAADA), a similar organization serving more than 1,500 dealers.

Jim has participated in many programs sponsored by various automobile trade associations and has given presentations on taxation, accounting and operational issues. He serves on the board of directors and executive committee of the Montgomery County Students Automotive Trades Foundation, Inc.
