Pete is a executive vice president and client service partner at CBM. He currently serves on our executive and quality assurance committees, and as director of our construction and real estate practice. Pete has more than 25 years of audit and tax experience in planning and supervising engagements in the construction, automotive and not-for-profit arenas. Having passed the NASD Series 65 Examination, Pete is a registered investment adviser in the State of Maryland. He has been an instructor for auditing and accounting seminars for the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and the Maryland Association of CPAs, and has spoken on a variety of accounting and tax topics for numerous organizations, including the Washington Building Congress, Alexandria Chamber of Commerce and DC Metropolitan Subcontractors Association. Pete also served on the faculty of Northern Virginia Community College, where he was an instructor in accounting. In addition, he has been featured in The Wall Street Journal annual special report on financial planning. Pete is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Virginia Association of Nonprofit Homes for the Aging, the Greater Washington Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He serves as chairman of the board of governors for Bishop Ireton High School and as chairman of the capital funds trust committee. Pete is a past president of Belle Haven Country Club, and has served on the boards of both the Downtown Jaycees and the District of Columbia Jaycees Youth Foundation. Pete is a past treasurer for both the Alexandria Center of Employment and Saint Mary’s Home and School, and is a current member of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce. Pete graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting. He received his CPA certificate from the Commonwealth of Virginia and is a licensed CPA in both Virginia and Maryland. Pete also completed an international economics exchange program at the University of Loyola in Rome, Italy. |
