Senior Manager - Divorce Finance and Litigation Support

"Divorce is full of complex concerns and financial entanglements. It’s essential to have a trusted CPA and financial consultant to offer clarity, support, and objective insight throughout the process. "

Divorce is an emotionally trying experience for the entire family. Add in sorting through the financial matters, and the situation can become even more challenging. Jamie, a senior manager for Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell’s (CBM) divorce finance and litigation support services, is excellent at providing clarity, confidence and support throughout the entire divorce process so clients can make informed and objective financial decisions from start to finish.

Jamie, a seasoned collaborative divorce professional and experienced mediator, has more than 30 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA®) and a financial professional who works with clients and their attorneys to achieve mutually agreeable solutions for even the most complex financial matters. Her experience allows her to help clients with divorce financial planning, financial analysis, reporting, consulting for collaborative divorce, mediated and litigated cases and forensic accounting for family law, business, and individual matters.

Her holistic approach covers many facets of the divorce process, including cash flow and property reporting, tax and retirement projections, fund misappropriation, alimony and child support calculations, closely-held entity financial analysis, tracing of marital and separate property, analyzing proposed settlement options, asset dissipation analysis and a review of the financial sections of divorce agreements. Her experience in the divorce sector has led her to become a frequent speaker, presenter and article contributor for many organizations and publications throughout the region.
