Lucy Perez

Tax Process Manager

Ms. Perez is Tax Process Manager at Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) and has 15+ years of experience in public accounting.

Prior to working at CBM, Lucy worked at another area accounting firm, where she served as Assistant Office Manager, IT Help Desk Technician, Billing Coordinator, Marketing Assistant, and e-File Administrator.

Some of her many responsibilities included interviewing, managing and training the administrative staff; assisting with all Help Desk requests; processing invoices and financial statements; creating and designing marketing materials; managing the firm’s social media accounts; and releasing/processing all tax returns available for electronic filing.

While there, she also trained the entire professional staff on a variety of office and tax software products including but not limited to PFx Tax, Document, Scan, Engagement & Practice Management. Lucy also served on several committees including the Social Committee, IT Committee, Tax Return Control Sheet Committee (TRCSC), Not-for-Profit Committee, and the Marketing Committee. She also belonged to the Association for Accounting Administration (CPAFMA) DC Chapter.
