Bill began his accounting career as an auditor with McGladrey and Pullen in Raleigh, NC. He soon developed an interest in the intricacies of the tax code, however, and returned to school to earn his Masters Degree in Taxation at the University of Denver, a program designed for both accountants and attorneys. With now thirty years of experience as a certified public accountant and business advisor, he has earned a reputation as someone willing to delve into any issue pertaining to taxation, no matter how complex.
In 1997, Bill became a principal with Gottke and Blumenauer, P.C. CPAs, in McLean, Virginia, and stayed with that firm until launching a solo practice in Bethesda, Maryland in 2013. He merged his practice with CBM on June 1, 2017.
Bill has extensive experience working with income tax returns for individuals, including U.S citizens living overseas, and especially partners in partnerships who have tax liabilities in many different states. He also is well-versed in income tax filings for estates and trusts, in gift and estate taxation, and in preparation of corporation and partnership returns. He represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and state tax authorities.
Bill is a native of Bethesda-Chevy Chase, and is pleased to be conducting his practice here.
