Steve Snee, CPA, boasts 17 years of experience in the accounting profession, 12 of which have been dedicated to supporting automotive dealerships with targeted opportunities to reduce future tax burdens and improve financial results for the future of the business, the owners and their families.

As a senior manager with Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM), Steve works with large auto dealerships and their owners, providing accurate financial statements, dealership-specific tax-saving opportunities, and up-to-date knowledge of new accounting standards and regulations affecting the industry. Known throughout the auto dealership world for his consistency, clarity and timely deliverables, Steve ensures his clients always have peace of mind and confidence to make the best decisions for their business and related entities. He supports audit and attest engagements and guides business and individual tax engagements.

Steve attributes his unique perspective in the industry to his extensive professional background, including audit experience at a Big 4 firm, financial reporting at a Fortune 125 company, and tax planning and preparation at a global accounting firm. This combined experience allows him to view issues from a chief financial officer or controller’s perspective to help clients handle even the most complex accounting and operational concerns precisely and efficiently.

Steve maintains his sharp focus on the automotive industry by attending national dealership conferences, assisting with presentations to dealer trade associations and regularly participating in CBM informational presentations and client meetings.

In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors hunting, fishing, hiking and camping with his 165-pound Newfoundland dog.
