On Wednesday, July 24, Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) team members volunteered with the Maryland Food Bank to prepare meals for underprivileged children and those facing food uncertainty throughout the state. The team’s accomplishments included preparing 550 school breakfasts and 100 lunches for children across several state counties and for delivery to five soup kitchens throughout the Baltimore metropolitan region.

Among those participating were Principal Julia Lafferty, Manager Helen Wasserman, Senior Financial Advisor Wendy Moyers, Staff Auditor Eva Tung and interns Marissa Cosgrove and John Boland.

“Volunteering with the Maryland Food Bank gave me the chance to recognize just how many people in our community struggle with food insecurity,” said Lafferty. “I am grateful for the great work the Maryland Food Bank does every day to assist  those in need and I am happy to contribute my time to this mission.”
