CBM Bakes Cookies for the Bethesda Fire Department and Montgomery County Police to Show Their Gratitude

On January 21, Senior Tax Accountant Ginger Wu and Tax Manager Brenda Haase led team members Aurora Wheeler, Lorraine Flude, Winnie Yang, Tana Papinova, Abbie Niehoff and Jenny Wang in decorating cookies for the Bethesda Fire Department and Montgomery County Police to show gratitude for keeping the communities they serve safe. The cookies were decorated with the circle from the Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) logo. Brenda spent more than 10 hours baking cookies for the team to decorate.

The next day, CBM President and Managing Partner Pete Reilly, Board Chair Patricia Drolet, and Ginger delivered the 50 cookies to the Bethesda Fire Department. The department has been protecting the Greater Bethesda – Chevy Chase community since 1926. Ginger reported that right as they were leaving from dropping off the cookies, the firefighters pulled out to answer a fire emergency call.

On January 23, Brenda and Ginger dropped off the rest of the 50 cookies to the Montgomery Police Department, thanking them for all they do to protect the community. MCPD Officer Mike, who has offered safety tip presentations to CBM staff in the past, called Brenda afterward to relay his appreciation for the gesture, saying his police officers loved the cookies.
