About the Trinity Washington University

Founded in 1897, Trinity Washington University is the nation’s first Catholic liberal arts college for women. Today, Trinity enrolls 2,000 students among their three academic schools for liberal arts, nursing and graduate programs. The university supports its local community, enrolling more D.C. residents and more graduates of D.C. Public Schools than any other private university in the city. With a student body comprised of 55% Black and 33% Hispanic students, Trinity aims for racial equality through programs like DARE: Driving Action for Racial Equality. The program is designed to widen career opportunities for students of color excluded from many professions. Learn more about the college and their history here.
