Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, P.C. (CBM) has hired Senior Manager Steve Snee, CPA to expand the experience of the firm’s auto dealership practice. Steve will be responsible for managing accounting services including attestation, business and individual tax, and consulting for dealerships, their owners, related entities, individuals and other clients up and down the East Coast.
“Since 1921, we have forged some of our strongest client relationships in the dealership industry,” said Peter B. Reilly, CPA, CVA, President and Managing Partner of CBM. “Dealership groups have trusted CBM for multiple generations to deliver some of the highest quality accounting services in the region, and we look forward to having Steve join our team to enhance our expertise and burgeon our reputation among industry leaders.”
CBM’s dealership practice has served clients for 100 years (ever since the Model T was in production). The firm specializes in auto, heavy-duty and light truck, motorcycle and RV dealership accounting, auditing, tax and operational consulting services, and serves companies ranging from those with single locations to larger dealer alliances and auto-related businesses. CBM Dealership Practice Chair John Comunale has generated significant visibility in recent months by leading a series of virtual education sessions related to the Paycheck Protection Program and PPP loan forgiveness, drawing trust and new client service opportunities to the practice.
“I am excited to join a team with CBM’s century-long tradition of excellence and progressive thinking,” said Snee. “As more dealerships come to trust our ability to lead them to lasting business success regardless of market circumstances, we anticipate serving as their partner every step of the way.”
Before joining CBM in October 2020, Snee provided managerial, financial, attest and tax functions for numerous industry groups including for a national firm where he delivered professional services to the Baltimore office’s dealership clients and related entities. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Maryland Association of CPAs.
