CBM Financial Editor Martina Childress Spearheads Contribution of More than 70 Toys to Local Charity’s Toy Drive

Martina Childress, financial editor at Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM), spearheaded the collection of more than 70 toys by the firm’s team members in support of the holiday toy drive by La Clínica del Pueblo, a local charity celebrating its 40th anniversary. The initiative exceeded its goal of collecting 40 toys. She and her husband Charlie dropped off the gifts at All Souls Unitarian Church in Washington, DC on Saturday, December 9.

La Clínica del Pueblo is a not-for-profit charity whose mission is to build a healthy Latino community through culturally appropriate health services, focusing on those most in need throughout Washington, DC and Maryland.

Childress is one of the most community service-minded team members at CBM. Last year, she helped donate more than 100 pairs of socks and 100 hats to So Others Might Eat. Over the years, she has also supported organizations as diverse as Bethesda Cares, the Montgomery Coalition for the Homeless, A Wider Circle and Crossway Community.

A big thanks to all those at CBM who generously contributed to the toy drive!

Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) is a professional services firm delivering tax, accounting and business advisory expertise throughout the Mid-Atlantic region from offices in Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC.
