Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM) participated in the 2024 Emily Norman Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in honor of our team member Emily Norman who passed away last year, leaving a loving husband and three daughters. Approximately 100 golfers joined in the fundraising event during a cool, overcast day at the Great Hope Golf Course in Westover, Maryland. A 50/50 raffle and silent auction also helped to raise money for an education fund for Emily’s family.
The event was organized by Christ United Memorial Church and supported by approximately 100 volunteers including CBM Financial Editor Martina Childress while others such as Manager Amanda McWilliams contributed to the silent auction.
CBM sponsored multiple holes; the firm’s golfing foursome, which included team members Holly Caporale, Angela Prochaska, Alain Pankopf and Lynn Steeley, ended up with the highest score (earning each of them a free round of golf at the course!). But Holly teed off a ball that landed closest to the pin among participating golfers.
CBM was proud to honor Emily and show support for her family.
