(Virtual) The Impact of the CARES Act and the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program on Small Businesses and Independent Contractors

April 14, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Eastern

Small businesses and independent contractors face the same rules and conditions as other business entities related to relief under the CARES Act and the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program.

But they also face other specific rules.

CBM’s small business task force–Principal Tom Bailey, Managers Brenda Haase and Angela Prochaska and Supervisor Tom Hudson–will host a virtual panel session on Tuesday, April 14 from 11 am to noon, to highlight those aspects of the legislation particular to smaller businesses and contractors. In addition to delivering an overview of the new legislation, they will address particular components of the Paycheck Protection Program and the Economic Injury Assistance loans, as well as favorable tax code changes that smaller or individual employers should know about.

Please consider joining us for an hour-long conversation on Tuesday, April 14. In addition to reviewing current rules and conditions, the small business task force will also identify those areas that need further clarification by the federal government.
