Dominick Bellia, CPA, CITP, CBM’s director of client accounting services and an experienced provider of business and individual income tax services at Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM), was promoted to Vice President and Partner effective January 1, 2018.
Mr. Bellia is both a certified public accountant and a certified information technology professional under the AICPA. His combined expertise in accounting and technology positions him to bridge the two areas and consult with clients to improve their business processes and workflow. Mr. Bellia collaborates with construction and real estate groups, professional service firms, not-for-profits, start-ups and other businesses to build accounting departments and integrate cutting-edge tools that improve efficiencies and productivity, in turn reducing costs.
When beneficial for the client, Mr. Bellia also advocates for adoption of cloud-based services to streamline functions related to financial reporting and recordkeeping. He leads CBM’s client accounting services team, which provides outsourced accounting functions and reporting, as well as higher level services including budgeting and analysis. By working closely throughout the year and tracking performance, Mr. Bellia’s team along with CBM’s tax department have the value-added opportunity to integrate timely tax planning and consulting on an ongoing basis.
“On behalf of our partner group, I am proud to announce this promotion,” said Peter B. Reilly, CPA, CVA, CBM’s president and managing partner. “Dominick regularly demonstrates innovative thinking and an ability to formulate solutions that directly address clients’ top financial management challenges. As Vice President and the newest partner at CBM, he will continue to inspire the firm with a vision for delivering the highest quality in client service. We are all truly proud to have him as part of CBM.”
