The annual networking and educational forum will be held from October 27 to 30, 2022 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida and is the world’s largest and most preeminent annual gathering of collaborative and consensual dispute resolution professionals from around the globe. This year’s theme is “Share the Collaborative Magic.”

CBM will present at the following sessions at the 2022 IACP Forum:

“Maximizing the Magic of the Financial Neutral on the Collaborative Team” (Saturday, October 29, 2022, 9–10:30 am EST) – Rowny, Egert and Blum will present in a workshop focused on approaches to assist clients through financial uncertainty and impasse, toward decision-making and resolution. They will review concepts and techniques regarding the division of assets, process costs risk aversion, volatility, disruption and change in finances, and tools to evaluate options and understand possible solutions.

“Strategies for Streamlining the Collaborative Process” (Sunday, October 30, 2022, 9-10:30 am EST) – Rowny and two co-presenters will examine when it is appropriate to consider deviating from the traditional collaborative protocols, differentiate between protocols that can and cannot be streamlined, identify potential costs and benefits of streamlining, and share creative ways to approach option-generation and evaluation that were developed in cases where parties were having a difficult time participating effectively in the traditional collaborative process, and/or had limited financial resources to expend on the process.

“CBM’s certified divorce professionals and financial planners have supported the collaborative divorce process for many years, and we are proud that the IACP has chosen our team to share their expertise with a global industry audience,” said Debora E. May, co-director of CBM’s divorce litigation services group. “From helping clients navigate the financial complexities of divorce, to developing strategies for them to work more effectively with their separating partners and also by referring clients to service providers who can provide guidance in other areas of this process, our team has always focused on helping clients reach the best possible outcome for their futures.
