Amanda McWilliams, CPA

With a work ethic rooted in empathy and dependability, Amanda McWilliams, CPA, believes in treating every client as if they were family. As a manager with Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell (CBM), she often pulls on her 15 years of experience helping businesses, individuals and not-for-profits with complex tax planning and compliance while providing outsourced accounting services, financial statement compilations, budget reporting, and key performance indicator tracking and analysis for a range of industries.

When Amanda started preparing taxes, she was told to treat every tax return as if it was her mother’s, a philosophy she applies to every engagement. It’s also a sentiment she’s carried throughout her career to consistently deliver valuable insight, keen instincts and a results-driven approach that inspires the trust and confidence of her clients.

Amanda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor and a certified Bill.com expert and guru. Before joining CBM in 2016, Amanda worked elsewhere in public accounting, preparing individual and business tax returns, payroll processing, and handling monthly reconciliations to provide monthly financial statements.

When she isn’t spending time with her two young sons or traveling with her family, Amanda is an avid reader and loves to spend hours perusing the library.
