They say that sex is like money (you can never get enough); but sometimes too much (spending) is enough. This program will explore how to address complaints by one spouse that the other has secretly misspent marital funds on sexual pursuits outside of the marriage. We will discuss how we talk about this delicate topic — walking the tightrope in which we treat both clients with respect, no matter how provocative the behavior or how ugly the accusations. We will discuss how to navigate the conflicting tension between the injured, enraged and often punitive spouse on one hand and the often apologetic and humiliated but other times self-justifying spouse on the other. We will share tried and true methods to resolve a spouse’s request for financial reparations for the marital funds spent on such pursuits. Presented by Debbie May, CPA, CFP, CDFA and Theresa Mihalik, Esquire.
